The Spring Sentinel System - We are submitting documentation to add both a stainless steel spring guard and a spring "nose" restraint to out current production Thrush spring tail landing gear kit.  These items will be available for retrofit.  The spring guard will also replace the tailwheel centering spring support bracket currently supplied with the kit.  The spring nose restraint will require drilling tow holes in the trunnion, but will otherwise be a "bolt-on" item.  Each item has tentatively been priced at $119.00. Thrush Torsion Bar Tail Gear - We have completed our preliminary design for this product, but are now looking at further modifications to the design before producing articles for field tests.  This arrangement of multiple torsion bars will position the tail wheel further forward (close to the original location - forward of the rudder) and is designed to be tailored to the aircraft size and operating environment.  We will be asking for operator feedback as to empty weight, hopper size, operating environment, etc. in the near future. Thrush Steel Tube Horizontal Stabilizer - We have considered building a new stabilizer that incorporates our modified 6% NACA airfoil mod on a new production unit.  This stabilizer is significantly lighter than a fabricated sheetmetal item and is easier to repair in the field.  We are now researching the periodic inspection criteria that currently applies to the original production units.  We would be very happy to here from Thrush operators and get their opinion on this project.  Stay tuned! Stearman Three-Way Control Lock -  Many years ago Serv-Aero developed a control lock for the ag Stearman, but never updated this STC for Normal Category aircraft.  The year 2000 will see this change.  We believe that this control lock is a superior product and current Stearman Owners will find it very useful.
